Twin 150mm C3 Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass drivers give the 5050 its power and potency, pairing deep, authoritative bass with the articulate midrange and reduced harmonic distortion that define the range. A 25mm floating tweeter, hermetically sealed and isolated from the baffle, delivers the highs with detail and finesse.
As a tall enclosure, the 5050 uses HPE (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer) tube technology from the flagship Concept 500 to convert internal pressure into velocity and eliminate the standing waves that colour the sound. P2P (Point to Point) bracing keeps the cabinet exceptionally rigid, while solid aluminium stabilisers with adjustable spikes provide a stable, level footing.
Frequency response reaches down to 37Hz and up to 30kHz, with a 6 ohm nominal impedance and 91.5dB sensitivity. It will happily take 25 to 175 watts per channel.
