X-Tube Plus combines QED's established X-Tube conductor geometry with Aircore technology. Aircore uses hollow tubular conductors, eliminating the centre of each conductor where skin effect losses are most severe and replacing it with air. The conductor blend uses ultra-fine Ohno Continuous Cast Copper alongside standard 99.99% OFC, improving grain boundary structure and reducing electrical noise at a molecular level. Low Loss Ultra-Uniform Dielectric insulation keeps capacitive losses minimal across the full audio bandwidth. Airloc Forte banana plugs use a cold-weld termination system, creating a permanent, corrosion-resistant bond between plug and conductor.
