The XT3 is QED's audio mains power cable, and it uses X-Tube conductor geometry, the same technology that underpins QED's speaker cable range. By applying X-Tube construction to the live and neutral conductors, the XT3 reduces the magnetic field interaction between them that causes distortion in standard mains cables and allows electrical noise to contaminate the power supply.
Amplifiers respond to cleaner power delivery with better transient response, more dynamic headroom and improved low-frequency control. Source components and streamers benefit from reduced switching noise reaching sensitive analogue stages. The cable is terminated with a UK MK Tough Plug 655 at the wall end and an IEC C13 connector at the equipment end, covering virtually all hi-fi amplifiers, CD players, streamers and DACs. 99.999% oxygen-free copper conductors throughout, 10.2mm OD Black Pearl jacket. Compliant with EN50525, EN60320 and EN60884.
