The E4 is the flagship of Goldring's E Series and the cartridge that puts genuine audiophile performance within reach of a mid-range turntable. The key upgrade over the rest of the range is the nude super-elliptical diamond stylus. Where the E1 through E3 use bonded styli, the E4's diamond is fixed directly to the cantilever with no bonding compound to add mass or absorb energy. Lower effective tip mass, improved rigidity, and better retrieval of high frequency groove detail are the results.
The hollow aluminium cantilever is tuned for lightness and stiffness, allowing it to track demanding passages without smearing or mistracking. Goldring's Magnetic Duplex Technology provides the dual magnet geometry that mirrors a record cutting head, delivering better stereo separation and a more accurately reproduced soundstage. Each cartridge is individually adjusted at the factory to optimise channel balance and crosstalk before leaving.
