The E2 is where the E Series starts to get interesting. The same Magnetic Duplex Technology and spherical stylus profile as the E1, but with an upgraded aluminium cantilever that changes the character noticeably. Lighter and stiffer than the E1's carbon tube, it lets the stylus trace the groove with more authority at medium to high frequencies, pulling out more detail and holding steady during complex, loud passages.
The result is a cartridge that sounds more composed and revealing than the price suggests. Better tracking, lower distortion under pressure, and a cleaner midrange. Goldring's individual factory adjustment applies here too, so channel balance arrives dialled in from the outset.
Standard 3.5 mV output into any moving magnet phono input. Fits any half-inch mount headshell. Tracking weight 1.5 to 2.5 grams. Replacement E2 stylus available separately.
