The Concept 50 is a large floorstander that sits at the top of the Concept range, one step below the flagship Concept 500. It is a three-way loudspeaker built on the same technical platform as the 500, with twin 125mm bass drivers and a 25mm decoupled tweeter, sized for rooms where the 500 would be too physically imposing.
The engineering inside the Concept 50 is thorough. Gelcore cabinet construction, P2P Point to Point internal bracing and HPE Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer tubes keep the enclosure rigid and resonance-free. An isolation base beneath the cabinet uses two plates separated by suspension spheres to decouple it from the floor. Bi-wire terminals are included for those who want to run separate cable runs to the bass and treble sections.
Sensitivity is 90.5 dB/W/m and recommended amplifier power runs from 25 to 150 watts per channel, making the Concept 50 an accessible load for most integrated amplifiers. Frequency response extends from 42Hz to 30kHz.
