Not all floorstanders are created equal. The 5040 gives you every advantage of a floorstanding design from a notably compact cabinet with a modest footprint, making it ideal where space is at a premium but the appetite for full scale sound is not. Slim, beautifully formed, and with the sound quality to genuinely move you.
Twin 125mm C3 Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass drivers provide the foundation, combining deep, controlled bass with the articulate, detailed midrange that runs through the 5000 series. Substantial magnets and large voice coils mean a 50 percent increase in power handling over a comparable driver, while the 25mm floating tweeter stays hermetically sealed and isolated from the baffle for clean, low distortion highs.
The cabinet uses Concept derived construction with P2P (Point to Point) bracing for rigidity and focus. As a floorstander it also benefits from solid aluminium stabilisers with adjustable spikes for easy levelling, and low profile terminals that let you place it closer to the wall if you need to.
Frequency response stretches from 39Hz to 30kHz, with a 6 ohm nominal impedance and a high 91.5dB sensitivity. It takes 25 to 150 watts per channel comfortably.
Finished in Satin Black, Satin White, Santos Rosewood or Holm Oak.
